The Halloween fun continues at our scary abode. The outside is becoming our best Halloween creation yet and I can’t wait to show you pics (day and night). But first I wanted to share what I did inside on our mantel. The mantel is new this year so dressing it up was a lot of fun for me. (Already dreaming about Christmas). Wanting to keep the theme consistent and bring some spidery goodness to this room, here’s what I did.

Throwing some creepy skulls and eyeballs into a vase is as easy as it gets and is just so awesomely gross.

eyesThe silhouetted look was really working for me this year. So when I spotted this garland at Target, it went into my cart pronto.

garlandThis skull is hardcore. Nicely crafted and pretty heavy, actually. It’s pretty realistic without being TOO realistic. And the spider here seemed to crawl in from the outside, since a lot of his friends are out there (you’ll see). YIKES!

And that’s our eek-tastic mantel for Halloween 2013. What kind of mantel decor have you guys come up with? Do share! Oh, and boo!

SO much better than mine. Mine was kind of half-assed this year, pardon my french. Actually I’m not the best mantle arranger, to be honest… Thanks for sharing yours because it gives me ideas! Oh, here’s mine in case you were interested in seeing the ugliness:
